The Scan Nitrile Coated Work Gloves are durable, comfortable protective gloves designed for handling small oily components, mechanical parts and materials where grip and resistance to everyday wear are important.

Featuring a tough nitrile coating across the palms and fingers, these work gloves provide effective abrasion resistance and a practical gripping surface for tasks involving grease, fuel and oily components.

The gloves incorporate a 13-gauge seamless knitted polyester liner, designed to improve comfort and flexibility while helping the wearer maintain control when handling smaller parts.

With a stated abrasion resistance rating of Level 4 out of 4, the Scan Nitrile Gloves are particularly suitable for applications involving repeated contact with abrasive surfaces.

Their supplied mechanical protection ratings are 4-1-2-1, covering abrasion, blade cut, tear and puncture resistance.

Whether you're carrying out vehicle maintenance, working with mechanical components or handling oily parts in a workshop, these Scan Nitrile Coated Safety Gloves offer a practical combination of comfort, grip and mechanical protection.

Tough Nitrile Palm & Finger Coating

The Scan Nitrile Work Gloves feature a durable nitrile coating across the palms and fingers.

This coating provides a protective surface in the areas most frequently used for gripping, carrying and handling materials.

The nitrile coating is particularly useful when working with small mechanical parts that may be covered in grease or oil.

It also helps protect the coated areas against abrasion during suitable handling tasks.

Unlike fully coated chemical-protection gloves, the supplied specification describes coating on the palms and fingers only.

Important: These gloves should not be assumed to provide a liquid-tight barrier or full-hand chemical protection.

Resilient to Grease & Fuel

The Scan Nitrile Coated Gloves are described as resilient to grease and fuel, making them a practical option for certain mechanical handling tasks.

The nitrile coating can help maintain a useful gripping surface when working with lightly oily components.

Typical applications include:

  • Handling small engine parts

  • General vehicle maintenance

  • Mechanical assembly

  • Workshop repairs

  • Handling greasy tools

  • Routine engineering tasks

  • General machinery maintenance

Important: Resistance to incidental contact with grease and fuel does not establish certified chemical protection or suitability for prolonged immersion.

Fuel and solvent compatibility varies. Check the manufacturer's chemical resistance information before handling hazardous liquids.

13-Gauge Seamless Polyester Liner

The gloves incorporate a 13-gauge knitted seamless polyester liner.

The fine knitted construction is designed to provide a comfortable fit while allowing practical hand movement.

A seamless liner can help reduce discomfort associated with internal seams during repetitive handling tasks.

The polyester construction also offers a lightweight alternative to heavier traditional work gloves.

This makes the Scan Nitrile Gloves suitable for applications where comfort and flexibility are important.

Designed for Small Parts Handling

The combination of a flexible knitted liner and nitrile-coated gripping areas makes these gloves particularly useful for handling small components.

They are a practical choice for suitable assembly, maintenance and repair tasks where the wearer needs to grip parts securely.

The gloves may be useful when working with:

  • Nuts and bolts

  • Small mechanical components

  • Tools and fittings

  • Lightly oily parts

  • Workshop materials

  • General maintenance equipment

Always ensure that gloves are appropriate for the task, particularly when working near moving machinery.

Important: Gloves can become entangled in rotating equipment. Follow machinery safety procedures and do not wear gloves where they create an entanglement hazard.

Level 4 Abrasion Resistance

One of the standout features of the Scan Nitrile Coated Gloves is their stated Level 4 abrasion resistance.

This is the highest performance level on the supplied four-level abrasion scale.

Abrasion resistance indicates how well the glove material withstands surface wear under standardised test conditions.

The high stated abrasion rating makes these gloves useful for appropriately assessed tasks involving repeated handling and friction.

However, the rating does not mean the gloves are indestructible or suitable for every abrasive hazard.

Mechanical Protection Rating – 4-1-2-1

The Scan Nitrile Gloves have the following supplied mechanical protection ratings:

Protection Category Performance Level Rating Scale
Abrasion Resistance 4 1–4
Blade Cut Resistance 1 1–5
Tear Resistance 2 1–4
Puncture Resistance 1 1–4

Abrasion Resistance – Level 4

The gloves achieve a stated Level 4 abrasion resistance rating.

This indicates strong resistance to surface wear under the applicable test conditions.

Blade Cut Resistance – Level 1

The gloves have a stated Level 1 blade cut resistance rating.

This is a relatively low cut-resistance level and should not be relied upon for tasks involving significant blade or sharp-edge hazards.

Tear Resistance – Level 2

The gloves achieve a stated Level 2 tear resistance rating.

This indicates a defined level of resistance to tearing under the relevant mechanical test.

Puncture Resistance – Level 1

The gloves have a stated Level 1 puncture resistance rating.

This indicates limited resistance to puncture under the applicable test conditions.

They should not be selected for high-risk puncture hazards or handling needles and other specialised sharp objects.

Important: The supplied 4-1-2-1 ratings follow the traditional four-digit EN388 mechanical protection format. The exact standard edition and any additional cut-test or impact markings have not been supplied. Check the current product label and declaration of conformity before selecting the gloves for workplace PPE requirements.

Ideal for Garage, Workshop & Engineering Tasks

The Scan Nitrile Coated Work Gloves are designed for general handling applications where abrasion resistance and flexibility are priorities.

Typical uses include:

  • Automotive maintenance

  • Engineering workshops

  • Mechanical repairs

  • Handling small oily components

  • General assembly work

  • Machinery maintenance

  • Garage and workshop tasks

  • Handling tools and fittings

  • Light industrial maintenance

  • General DIY projects

Their flexible polyester liner makes them a useful option for tasks requiring hand movement and practical gripping ability.

For work involving significant cutting hazards, chemicals, extreme temperatures or electrical risks, use gloves specifically certified for the relevant protection requirements.

Comfort & Flexibility for Everyday Use

The 13G seamless polyester liner is designed to improve comfort during regular handling tasks.

The knitted construction allows the gloves to follow normal hand movement, while the nitrile coating provides additional protection over the palms and fingers.

This combination makes them a practical choice for users who need gloves that are protective without being unnecessarily bulky.

The correct glove size is essential for comfort, dexterity and safe use.

Glove Care & Maintenance

To help maintain the condition of the Scan Nitrile Gloves:

  1. Inspect the gloves before each use.

  2. Check the nitrile coating for cuts, cracks and excessive wear.

  3. Examine the polyester liner for holes or damage.

  4. Remove loose dirt after use.

  5. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.

  6. Allow damp gloves to dry naturally, away from direct heat.

  7. Replace gloves that have become contaminated with substances that cannot be safely removed.

  8. Replace damaged gloves or gloves that no longer fit securely.

Important: Do not use damaged gloves or assume that nitrile palm coating provides full chemical protection.

Why Choose Scan Nitrile Coated Work Gloves?

The Scan Nitrile Coated Work Gloves combine a tough gripping surface with a comfortable, flexible knitted liner.

Their nitrile-coated palms and fingers make them particularly useful for handling small oily parts, while the 13-gauge seamless polyester liner helps maintain comfort and dexterity.

With a stated Level 4 abrasion resistance rating, these gloves provide strong protection against surface wear under the applicable test conditions.

The supplied 4-1-2-1 mechanical protection rating also gives users useful information when assessing suitability for general handling tasks.

For garage work, engineering maintenance and suitable mechanical handling applications, the Scan Nitrile Gloves offer a practical balance of abrasion resistance, flexibility and comfort.
