Black Latex Wrinkle-Finish Coating
The Scan Foam Latex Coated Gloves feature a distinctive black latex wrinkle-finish coating across the palms and fingers.
The textured coating is designed to provide a secure gripping surface when handling tools, equipment and materials.
Its wrinkle-finish texture helps improve contact with surfaces, making the gloves useful for suitable tasks involving wet or dry materials.
The coating also provides an additional layer of protection over the areas most frequently used for gripping.
Important: Grip performance depends on the surface, contamination and working conditions. No glove can guarantee a secure grip in every situation.
Excellent Wet & Dry Grip
One of the main advantages of these Scan Latex Grip Gloves is their ability to provide practical grip in both wet and dry conditions.
The textured latex coating helps users maintain control when handling a variety of everyday materials.
Potential applications include:
-
Handling building materials
-
General construction work
-
Gardening and outdoor maintenance
-
Workshop tasks
-
Carrying tools and equipment
-
Property maintenance
-
General DIY activities
The gloves are particularly useful where flexibility and grip are more important than heavy-duty mechanical protection.
Important: The latex coating does not make the entire glove waterproof or suitable for chemical immersion.
Seamless Knitted Polyester Liner
The gloves are manufactured using a knitted seamless polyester liner.
This construction is designed to provide comfort while reducing the irritation that can sometimes result from internal seams.
The flexible knitted material allows the gloves to follow natural hand movement.
This makes them a practical choice for tasks involving frequent gripping, lifting and handling.
The polyester liner also helps keep the gloves relatively lightweight compared with traditional heavy-duty leather work gloves.
High-Visibility Design
The Scan Foam Latex Coated Work Gloves feature a high-visibility design intended to make the gloves more noticeable during use.
This can be useful in busy working environments where hand movements need to be easily seen.
The contrasting black latex coating also gives the gloves a distinctive appearance.
Important: High-visibility colouring does not establish certification to a high-visibility clothing standard. No separate visibility certification has been supplied.
Flexible Construction for Everyday Comfort
Comfort is important when choosing protective gloves for repetitive handling tasks.
The Scan Foam Latex Coated Gloves combine a flexible polyester liner with a textured latex coating designed to maintain practical hand movement.
This makes them useful for suitable work requiring:
-
Gripping tools
-
Carrying materials
-
Handling equipment
-
General assembly
-
Light maintenance
-
Routine manual tasks
The correct glove size is essential for comfort, dexterity and safe handling.
Mechanical Protection Rating – 2-1-2-1
The supplied mechanical protection ratings for the Scan Foam Latex Coated Gloves are 2-1-2-1.
These follow the traditional four-digit EN388 performance format.
| Protection Category | Performance Level | Rating Scale |
|---|---|---|
| Abrasion Resistance | 2 | 1–4 |
| Blade Cut Resistance | 1 | 1–5 |
| Tear Resistance | 2 | 1–4 |
| Puncture Resistance | 1 | 1–4 |
Abrasion Resistance – Level 2
The gloves have a stated Level 2 abrasion resistance rating.
This indicates a defined level of resistance to surface wear under the relevant test conditions.
It makes them suitable for appropriately assessed general handling tasks involving moderate surface friction.
Blade Cut Resistance – Level 1
The gloves have a stated Level 1 blade cut resistance rating.
This is a relatively low level of cut protection.
The gloves should not be relied upon for handling sharp blades, sheet metal with dangerous edges or other significant cutting hazards.
Tear Resistance – Level 2
The gloves achieve a stated Level 2 tear resistance rating.
This indicates resistance to tearing under the applicable standardised test conditions.
Puncture Resistance – Level 1
The gloves have a stated Level 1 puncture resistance rating.
This provides limited puncture protection and is not suitable for tasks involving significant puncture hazards.
Important: The 2-1-2-1 rating does not mean the gloves are cut-proof or puncture-proof. The exact EN388 standard edition and any additional cut-test markings have not been supplied.

Latex Allergy Considerations
These gloves contain a latex coating.
Natural rubber latex may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
Users with known or suspected latex allergies should choose suitable latex-free gloves.
The supplied information does not establish chemical resistance, electrical insulation or thermal protection.
Care & Maintenance
To help maintain the condition of the Scan Foam Latex Coated Gloves:
-
Inspect the gloves before each use.
-
Check the latex coating for cracks, splits and excessive wear.
-
Examine the polyester liner for holes or damage.
-
Remove loose dirt after use.
-
Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.
-
Allow damp gloves to dry naturally, away from direct heat.
-
