J-B Weld Original Cold-Weld™ Epoxy Syringe 25ml is a high-strength, two-part epoxy adhesive designed to create strong, permanent repairs to metal and a variety of other suitable surfaces. With an impressive 5,020 PSI bonding strength, it is ideal for demanding automotive, workshop, household and general repair applications.

The two components are mixed at a simple 1:1 ratio to create J-B Weld's Original Cold-Weld™ epoxy. Once properly mixed and cured, the compound forms a hard, durable bond that can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded and drilled, allowing the finished repair to be worked much like metal.

J-B Weld Original Cold-Weld™ is particularly useful for repairing automotive components, vehicle exhaust parts, rust-damaged areas and other suitable metal components. It can be used on a wide variety of metals, including aluminium, brass, copper, iron and stainless steel.

Once fully cured, Original Cold-Weld™ can withstand temperatures up to 550°F (approximately 287°C), making it suitable for many repairs where both high strength and heat resistance are required.

The epoxy has a set time of approximately 4–6 hours and reaches a functional cure in approximately 15 hours. Once cured, it forms a dark grey finish.

How to Use

• Ensure both repair surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil, rust, paint and loose material that could affect adhesion.

• Roughen smooth surfaces where appropriate to provide a better mechanical key for the epoxy.

• Dispense equal amounts of both components from the syringe to achieve the required 1:1 mixing ratio.

• Mix the two components thoroughly until a consistent mixture is achieved.

• Apply the mixed epoxy firmly to the repair area.

• Join or position the components correctly and secure them where necessary while the epoxy sets.

• Allow approximately 4–6 hours for the initial set.

• Allow approximately 15 hours for a functional cure before placing the repair into normal service.

• Once fully cured, the epoxy can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded or drilled as required.

How do I return my old product to be recycled?

You can return your old product to MyDIY. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.

What products can I recycle for free?

You can return anything that is electricaly powered or battery powered. Even your old bicycle lamps can be recycled!.

Do you take back used batteries?

Yes we do. The batteries that we accept are AA, AAA, C or D, powertool batterys and also the flat batteries that are found in watches and toys. Unfortunately we do not accept back any Industrial or car batteries.

Do I need to have made a purchase at MyDIY.ie?

No you don't. You can recycle any of the above items at our store in Inchicore Dublin 8, even if you have not made a purchase with us.

Will you collect my old product?

Yes, but we must be notafied within 14 days of purchase date. You can still arrange to have your old appliance recycled free of charge. Simply bring it back to our Inchicore store and we will ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

How much will it cost?

There is no charge to return products to any of our warehouses.
