The ALM Manufacturing CH015 Chainsaw Safety Gloves are specially constructed protective gloves designed for use with petrol and electric chainsaws.
Made from high-quality leather, these chainsaw safety gloves feature built-in chainsaw protection in the left-hand glove, providing specialist protection for suitable chainsaw cutting and maintenance tasks.
With a Class 0 chainsaw protection classification, rated at 16 metres per second (16m/s), the ALM CH015 gloves are intended for chainsaw applications where this level of protection is appropriate.
The leather construction makes them a practical choice for chainsaw operators carrying out tree maintenance, logging, firewood preparation, pruning and other outdoor cutting activities.
Unlike ordinary gardening or general-purpose work gloves, the ALM CH015 are specifically designed for protective use with chainsaws, incorporating specialist protection in the left glove.
Suitable for use with electric and petrol chainsaws, these gloves are useful for trained DIY users, gardeners, landscapers and professional operators who require appropriate chainsaw protective equipment.
For anyone searching for Class 0 chainsaw gloves, leather chainsaw safety gloves, protective chainsaw gloves with left-hand protection or ALM CH015, these gloves provide a purpose-designed option for chainsaw safety.

Class 0 Chainsaw Protection – 16m/s
The ALM CH015 Chainsaw Safety Gloves have a stated Class 0 protection classification, corresponding to a chainsaw test speed of 16 metres per second.
This classification identifies the chain speed used for the relevant protective performance test.
It does not mean that the gloves can prevent every chainsaw injury or that they are suitable for all chainsaw operating speeds and working conditions.
Operators should assess the hazards involved and confirm that Class 0 protection is suitable for their equipment and intended work.
Built-In Left-Hand Chainsaw Protection
A key feature of the ALM CH015 gloves is the specialist protective construction of the left-hand glove.
This arrangement is designed to provide chainsaw-specific protection to the left hand, which may be particularly exposed during certain chainsaw operations.
Important: The stated chainsaw protection is built into the left-hand glove. Do not assume that the right-hand glove provides the same chainsaw cut protection.
Both gloves should be worn and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
High-Quality Leather Construction
ALM CH015 Chainsaw Safety Gloves are manufactured using high-quality leather.
Leather is a practical material for protective work gloves used in outdoor maintenance and machinery-handling environments.
The specialist chainsaw protective construction distinguishes these gloves from standard leather gardening or general work gloves.
Suitable for Petrol Chainsaws
The ALM CH015 gloves are designed for protective use when operating petrol chainsaws, provided the glove classification is suitable for the task.
Chainsaw work involves risks from the moving cutting chain, timber, branches and other hazards.
Appropriate gloves should always be used alongside the other required protective equipment and safe working practices.
Suitable for Electric Chainsaws
The ALM CH015 gloves are also intended for use with electric chainsaws.
Electric chainsaws present many of the same cutting hazards as petrol-powered equipment.
Always select protective gloves according to the machine, task and relevant risk assessment rather than power source alone.
Chainsaw Safety Gloves vs Ordinary Work Gloves
Ordinary leather work gloves may provide protection against some everyday handling hazards but are not necessarily designed or tested for contact with a moving chainsaw chain.
The ALM CH015 Chainsaw Safety Gloves incorporate specialist chainsaw protection in the left-hand glove and carry a stated Class 0, 16m/s classification.
This makes them a more appropriate choice than general-purpose gloves where the specified chainsaw protective performance is required.
However, no chainsaw glove is completely cut-proof.

Essential Chainsaw PPE
Chainsaw safety gloves form only one part of an appropriate personal protective equipment system.
Depending on the task and risk assessment, additional equipment may include:
-
Chainsaw safety helmet
-
Suitable eye and face protection
-
Hearing protection
-
Chainsaw-rated trousers or chaps
-
Chainsaw-rated safety footwear
-
Appropriate work clothing
Protective gloves do not replace proper chainsaw training, safe cutting techniques or correct equipment maintenance.
How to Use
-
Confirm that the gloves are suitable for the chainsaw, cutting task and required protection class.
-
Inspect both gloves before use for cuts, tears, damaged stitching or other signs of deterioration.
-
Check that the left-hand protective area is undamaged.
-
Put on both gloves and ensure they fit securely.
-
Confirm that you can operate the chainsaw controls safely while wearing them.
-
Wear all other protective equipment required for the task.
-
Keep both hands in the correct operating positions according to the chainsaw manufacturer's instructions.
-
Avoid contact with the moving chain and maintain safe working practices at all times.
-
Inspect the gloves after use and follow the manufacturer's cleaning and storage instructions.
-
Replace gloves that are damaged, excessively worn or have been subjected to chainsaw contact.
Important: Chainsaw protective gloves are designed to reduce certain risks, not eliminate them. The stated chainsaw protection is in the left-hand glove. Never rely on gloves to stop a moving chainsaw chain.
